River Heads Fishing Club was founded in 2009. I was one of its four founding members and its first treasurer, and I still help run the scoring on competition day. I grew tired of the manual grind and upkeep of spreadsheets, and of results that members didn't see until well after everyone had packed up and gone home. There had to be a better way, so I built one.
It started as a simple app on a single laptop at the weigh-in table — and it worked. Scoring that used to take the whole evening was done as the fish were measured. Which raised an obvious question: why shouldn't every club have this? And why should members wait for results at all, when they could watch the leaderboard update live on their own phones? ClubScoreOS is the answer to both.
